There are many DIFFERENT TYPES OF YOGA and it can be difficult to figure out which particular style is right for you. Most styles of yoga are based on the same basic yoga poses (called asanas), however the experience of one style can be radically different than another. YIN YOGA is a slow-paced style in which poses are held for five minutes or longer. Even though it is passive, yin yoga can be quite challenging due to the long holds, particularly if your body is not used to it. The purpose is to apply moderate stress to the connective tissue - the tendons, fascia and ligaments - with the aim of increasing circulation in the joints and improving flexibility. WHO IS IT FOR: It is suitable for everyone. Yin Yoga is an excellent counter to the more physically demanding – or yang – yoga disciplines.

HATHA FLOW is a style that has its roots in the ancient practice of Hatha Yoga, from which it derives the basic positions and principles. This practice remains anchored to the tradition of Yoga and to the goal of harmonizing the #body, the #mind and #breathing, increasing vital energy and inner well-being. WHO IS IT FOR: This style is suitable for anyone who wants to enjoy the pleasure of harmonious movement and its benefits on the physical and energetic plane: through ever-changing sequences, the body gains elasticity and strength; the mind learns to abandon itself with confidence and open up to new possibilities.

ASHTANGA VINYASA YOGA is a traditional, highly active and dynamic form of yoga. When practiced correctly, it demands a high degree of focus and concentration; generates an internal heat that cleanses and purifies; creates a strong, supple body; and brings clarity to the mind. It is characterized each time by the use of the same series of positions. WHO IS IT FOR: Ashtanga Yoga can be practiced by everyone, it requires some effort, but the effects that result from regular practice are a soft, light and strong body.
